About Emerson-Bandini School
The inspiration for our school comes from two great visionaries of the 19th century, poet Ralph Waldo Emerson and pioneer Juan Bandini.
Our school boasts nearly a century of tradition. It spreads across two campuses in South San Diego near San Diego Bay.
We focus on the foundations of education, literacy and mathematics. To encourage our literacy focus we keep classroom libraries continually updated, to fuel student intellectual thirst.
Many of our students arrive here still striving for fluency in English. We work hard to ensure they graduate fully fluent and with stronger academic performance, for we focus on helping all students reach their full potential.
Our students benefit from our active and involved parent community. Our strong family support enriches our school. Because of the involvement of the community we can offer programs like Literacy Fridays featuring volunteer tutors in the classroom. Student families keep our PTO active and the campus full of great activities to energize the staff and students alike. Come see Emerson-Bandini in action.
